IF IT’S DRIZZLING, it must be garden tour time. At least the local offerings will be lush! Here’s a rundown of some local tours and events.

TODAY ONLY

Georgetown Garden Tour, Saturday, May 7, 2016, 10am to 5pm. The 88th tour features half a dozen Georgetown gardens; tickets are $40 and can be purchased at Christ Church, 31st and O streets NW. The ticket includes refreshments from 2 to 4pm at Christ Church’s Keith Hall. For more information, go to georgetowngardenclubdc.org.

TODAY AND TOMORROW

Capitol Hill Restoration Society House & Garden Tour, Saturday, May 7, 2016, twilight tour 4 to 7pm;  Sunday, May 8, noon to 5pm. The 59th tour features more than a dozen places, including a cluster of historic alley dwellings; tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the CHRS booth at Eastern Market, 225 7th Street SE, and other locations (see chrs.org for more purchase locations).

. . . TOMORROW AND BEYOND

Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage, 10am to 5pm on several weekend dates in 2016  (see Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage site for more information). Tickets are $30 for each day’s tour. Saturday, May 7,  Harford County, seven locations; Saturday, May 14, Talbot County, eight locations; Sunday, May 14, Baltimore County, eight locations; Saturday, May 28, Charles County, seven locations (Queen Anne’s County was April 30).

Back Alley Garden Tour and Tea (Shepherdstown, W.Va.), Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10am to 4pm; Sunday, May 22, 2016, 11am to 4pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and include unlimited visits to the gardens and one afternoon tea. For more information, go to the  garden tour website.

New Hope Historical Society Garden Tour, Saturday, June 4, 2016, 10am to 4pm. Tickets are $35. This is the 23rd annual garden tour. For more information, go to the historical society’s website. 

Eastport Home & Garden Tour, Sunday, June 12, 2016, 1 to 5pm. Advance tickets are $20. The 11th annual tour of the “Maritime Republic of Eastport,” on the south side of Annapolis, features 10 properties. For more information, go to the Eastport Civic Association website.

AND SOME HOUSE TOURS

Historic Hyattsville House Tour, Sunday, May 15, 2016, 1 to 5pm. Tickets are $15. For more information, go to the Hyattsville Preservation Association website.

 Philadelphia Open House & Garden Tour, Sunday, May 22, 2016, 1 to 5pm. Tickets are $35. The 38th annual tour features 10 homes. For more information, go to the Society Hill Civic Organization website.

Bucks County Designer House & Gardens, through May 29, 2016. Tour Foxwood Manor, reimagined by 30 designers and landscapers. Tickets are $30. For more information, go to the Bucks County Designer House website.
