SOMETIMES a napkin is just a napkin. Other times, it’s art —for the table. That’s particularly so when it’s from one of Milanese designer Lisa Corti’s collections. She creates her textiles in Italy, then specialized craftspeople in India produce each piece.
This set of four Hima napkins ($76, Matches Fashion), made from cotton canvas, are block printed with an ikat pattern and then finished with a red border. Stingy-sized, these are not; they measure a whopping 19.7-by-19.7 inches! Gift them to your maximalist pal, who may just want to combine them with the coordinating tablecloth.
