ITALY GETS COLD TOO, but somehow thoughts of the bel paese are warm ones. Nonetheless, winter or summer, a grown-up girl’s gotta eat. And thanks to the owners of the new Via Umbria shop in Georgetown, some MyLittleBird readers will get to do just that, at a very special dinner.
But this month the Menards are importing a whole chef!
Simone Proietti-Pesci owns a restaurant in the medieval Umbrian town of Bevagna–Le Delizie del Borgo (loosely, the delights or delicacies of the town). He will be giving pasta-making classes and leading tasting evenings at the shop–you should go to the Via Umbria site for more info.
But even more fantastic: MyLittleBird has contracted with Chef Simone to put on a private dinner! And we’re inviting a lucky couple of you, our faithful readers, to join us. Dinner will be served on Sunday evening, January 18, at a very special Georgetown home, and will include a four-course meal (we’ll provide the vino for you as well) and maybe even a chance to watch Chef Simone in action.
Tell us why we should invite you! Sign up for MLB’s daily or weekly email and you will automatically get a chance for a seat at the table. Already get the email? Put your thoughts about this special dinner into a Comment to this article and, as they say, we’ll get back to you. (But we really will.)
Sign up to receive MyLittleBird email and/or post your Comment by 5 pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2015; we’ll announce the winners on Wednesday, January 14, on Facebook, and the winners will be alerted by email or phone.
