The Front Row 2014 on Bethesda Row, kicks off on Thursday, June 12, with the D.C. premiere of “Versailles 73,” a documentary about the 1973 Versailles fashion show that turned into a competition between the French haute couture establishment (Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Givenchy) and American designers, including Oscar de Renta, Halston and Anne Klein. The result put American designers on the runway map. After the screening, stay for a Q&A with director Riley Draper.
